Yarra Gables forms part of the original Marna House Estate. Built around the turn of the century, Marna House was a grand residence for about thirty years.
It then became a guest house and was a popular tourist destination for the next thirty years. At its peak, Marna House accommodated approximately sixty guests.
In the early 1960.s Marna House became a Special Accommodation property and remained as such until the early 1990's.
